Dianne's restaurant recommendations, within walking distance of the ITZone:
- Seva: vegetarian cuisine, right next to the ITZone, on Liberty
Jeruselum Garden: falafel, hummus, half a block away, on 5th and Liberty
(small, best for takeout)
- Earthen Jar: good, inexpensive Indian food, half a block away, next to
Jerusalem Garden
- Eastern Accents: coffee, tea, nice lunch selections (Bi Bim Bop), a few
blocks away on 4th Street
- Afternoon Delight: breakfast and lunch, good healthy cafeteria food,
half a block away, on Liberty
- Zingerman's Delicatessan: famous for sandwiches, several blocks away on
Detroit Street (very busy)
- Amer's Delicatessan: also good sandwiches, a few blocks away on State
Street (faster)
- Gratzi: sit-down Italian food, a few blocks away on Main Street
- Shalimar: great Indian food, lunch buffet, a few blocks away on
Washington Street
- Raja Rani: more Indian food, also a lunch buffet, a few blocks away on
E. William Street
- Arbor Brewing Company: local brew pub with many organic/free range
selections, a few blocks away on Washington
- Grizzly Peak: also a local brew pub, several blocks away on Washington
and Ashley
- Red Hawk Bar & Grill: interesting bar food, a few blocks away, on State
Street
- For coffee shops: Sweetwaters is my favorite, but it's a little bit of a
walk, over by Grizzly Peak (and I'm a tea drinker, so I have no way to
judge coffee)
- There's a Starbucks a few blocks in each direction from the ITZone, but
Espresso Royale has free internet and I hear that the coffee is better (one on Main Street and one on State Street).
